Exhale! Deep breath. You've arrived at the Hotel Soleil and Spa

in Saint-Remy-de-Provence. And it is absolutely divine.

Help yourself to your favorite selections from their large

breakfast buffet and enjoy on the outside courtyard or in their

sunny dining area.

Yes - Here at the Soleil, it's time to slow down, breathe and

enjoy life! Yes, exhale, my friend - we take care of everything

for you. And your first facial, manicure or massage is on us!

Life is good in Saint Remy!

From the Soleil, it's a quick and easy walk to the

center of the village. Saunter about the boutiques,

cafés, restaurants, local artisan shops, restaurants,

museums, churches, chocolatiers and ohhhhh

so much more. To your hosts, Saint Remy-de-Provence

is the quintessential French village with a most extraordinary

Your travel is filled with so many unexpected delights.

You'll never forget strolling through town, coming

upon a most inviting courtyard shaded by massive

plane trees... and seeing tables set up for our private

had not a care in the world, because you were

riding a carousel in Provence.

While the focus of this trip is Art Study, we'll also take you to regional locations to

explore the locations that were such a deep inspiration to artists such as Van Gogh, Gauguin, Cézanne and more!

The light, landscapes and architecture of Provence has long called to many an artist.

Most famously, Van Gogh spent over two years in Saint Rémy and nearby Arles.

Imagine - standing in the middle of his paintings

as we visit numerous locations he painted

including his Cafe Terrace on the Place du Forum

and The Courtyard of the Hospital at Arles.

A most moving experience is being present in his

room and walking the grounds of the asylum,

Saint Paul de Mausole, a short 10 minute walk

from your hotel. After cutting off part of his left

ear in Arles, Van Gogh voluntarily confined

himself to this institution in Saint-Rémy. While

Van Gogh battled his own personal demons, his time here would prove to be one of his most creative as an artist, producing

Starry Night and many other masterpieces. Walk through his olive grove fields;

gaze upon his treasured mountainous landscape the Alpilles; as he did, enjoy

the iris blooming; visit Les Alyscamps where Paul Gauguin and Vincent each

created several paintings.

A bit farther from our home base, in Aix-de-Provence, we'll visit the

deeply inspiring home studio of Cézanne. We'll search for fields of poppies.

In the incredible Roussilon, we'll stand in awe of the natural ochre cliffs;

shop for ochre pigments & other treasures and stroll this incredible village

with buildings clustered high atop those colorful hills.
